Nestled on 30+ wooded acres just outside New Lexington, Perry Backwoods Campground has been a quiet retreat for families, couples, and solo travelers who want the real Ohio experience — without the hassle.
We're not a theme park. There are no water slides or nightly entertainment. What we offer is something rarer: space, shade, and the kind of silence that lets you hear yourself think again.
Whether you're passing through on a road trip or planning a full week of fishing, hiking, and stargazing, we'll have a spot ready for you with clean facilities, friendly faces, and a fire ring that's already waiting.

We're located just north of New Lexington, Ohio — about 20 minutes from Cambridge and a short drive from the Ohio & Erie Canalway. The road is gravel but maintained year-round, and we'll send directions once you book.
